About the work :

Beeches on the road, Blizzard 3 is a photograph by the French photographer Christophe Jacrot, from the series Blizzard 3. This series, such as the previous Blizzard series, shows the artist’s aesthetic choices. Using the bad weather as a common denominator of its photography (particularly the snow which has a big visual impact), Christophe Jacrot confers a similar appearance to different places. From Greenland to Bavaria, behind the lens of the artist all these places acquire a common atmosphere.

The photograph shows a countryside winter landscape with snow and mist. The observer can see a car approaching at the end of the street. However, the real protagonist here is the big tree in the foreground and its majestic presence.

For many years, Christophe Jacrot's artistic project has been focused on his pursuit of bad weather conditions. The large urban areas have become his favorite areas to shoot in (NYC, Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong) but more recently, for the series Blizzard, the artist has been looking for natural landscapes such as Iceland or the Normandy coasts. The series Blizzard 3 carries on the first series.

Sold framed with a white frame under anti-reflective glass, museum quality.

Dimensions of the photograph: 60 x 90 cm. Dimensions of the framed work (white margins included): 68 x 98 cm.
